About
Hey! I'm April - a strategic development leader, consultant, and advocate dedicated to advancing inclusive, accessible, and trauma-informed environments where people and communities can thrive. My work sits at the intersection of inclusion, diversity, equity, accessibility (IDEA), mental well-being, and systems change across education, nonprofit, and professional sectors.
Drawing from my own lived experience, I bring a powerful understanding of the emotional and systemic barriers individuals face, particularly in spaces where stigma, exclusion, and inequity persist. I translate this insight into actionable strategies that reshape programs, partnerships, and organizational practices.
With over 20 years of experience, I've led transformative initiatives ranging from national program development and accessible event design to cross-sector partnerships and consulting engagements. In my role as Director, Strategic Development at IDEA-STEM, I drive organizational growth through innovative service design, business development, and thought leadership, advancing accessibility and inclusion across STEM education and professional spaces.
Known for blending empathy with execution, I create spaces where communities feel seen, heard, and meaningfully engaged in the solutions that shape them. My work is rooted in connection, collaboration, and a commitment to sustainable, systemic impact.
Whether supporting leaders, educators, or organizations, I bring both strategic insight and practical tools to build environments where inclusion is not an initiative, but a foundation.
